Pediamécum

The objective of the Pediamecum app is to make available to users a system for quick consultation of Pediamecum files, anywhere and in any condition, for professional use and to improve the information of the patient or their caregivers.

Pediamécum is a documentary database of active principles commonly used in pediatrics, created and maintained by the Medicines Committee of the Spanish Association of Pediatrics with the collaboration of more than 350 professionals from different specialties.

The information available in the Pediamecum files is periodically reviewed and updated, and is based on the bibliography cited in its pdf version. The content of the files included in this application matches that of those published on our website (www.pediamecum.es).

When you install the application, a database of approximately 10 MB is downloaded to your device. In other words, you will have all the essential information without the need for a network connection. However, since the periodic update may include security notes, you will receive a warning when you are offline. This notice, by definition, cannot be disabled. If you are connected, when you start the application it will automatically check for updates.

Pediamécum does not access your identification data or the files contained in your device except those that the application itself creates, such as the pdf that you decide to download and of course the drug database. The application does have access to the connection status of your device to manage updates.

Pediamecum warns non-professional users that it is inappropriate to use this application to self-medicate without a prescription or to abandon a prescribed treatment.
