GraphoGame Norwegian is a learning game that can help children of early school age to learn letters and their associated sounds.

By playing GraphoGame, children first learn to connect letter and letter sound. The game is based on recognized methods of reading instruction. Through a series of levels, they gradually move on to short and eventually longer words. GraphoGame is dynamic and adapts the degree of difficulty to the individual child. Through adaptation and constructive feedback, the game can motivate the child to play for as long as it gets enough repetitions for the letter-sound combinations to be established and robust.

The GraphoGame platform has been developed by a leading research community at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, in collaboration with a network of international reading researchers. GraphoGame Norsk has been developed in collaboration with the Reading Center at the University of Stavanger.
