I remember the day of the invasion well. The recollections still burn deeply, like spicy rooster wings.
They got here with out warning, squawking menacingly, their ruffled feathers darkening the solar. Invading intergalactic chickens, out to punish humanity for our oppression of their earthly brethren.
I instantly knew what had to be done. I dropped my half-eaten hen burger and jumped in my cockpit. With a greasy finger I set my lasers to extra crispy and blasted off to intercept the fowl invaders.
It wasn't straightforward. Squawks, feathers flying, the odor of charred hen in all places. Three instances they invaded, each time with more and more devious plans. Three occasions I managed to push them again whence they came, and secure humanity a couple of more years as the dominant species of this planet.
After their final retreat, I headed for my native Space Burger to bask within the glow of my recent victory. Breathing a sigh of reduction, I sat down to enjoy a double chicken-burger with crispy rooster wings on the side.
