Come into our everyday life we come into contact with numerous products that may contain chemicals that are harmful to health. With the ToxFox, the BUND has developed a product check that helps you to check everyday products for harmful substances before buying them. Hormonally effective parabens in shower gel? Reproductive plasticizers in the school bag? Simply scan the barcode and get information - or get it from the manufacturer!
The cosmetic check
Scan the barcode - identify harmful substances. The ToxFox gives you information about more than eighty,000 personal care products. And you can bring about change: Send a protest mail to the manufacturer directly from your Android phone. The more consumers participate, the greater the pressure on manufacturers - and the sooner they will ban harmful substances from their cosmetics.
Ask the poison question!
Whether pencil case, bicycle handle or carnival costume: tests show harmful chemicals in children's products. The pollutants can accumulate in the body and lead to diseases such as diabetes, cancer or infertility in the long term. That is why we focus on prevention with the ToxFox! It's that easy: Scan the barcode on the packaging with the Android phone camera. If information on harmful ingredients is already available, it will be displayed immediately. Otherwise, you have to take action: With the ToxFox you can ask the manufacturer directly whether the product contains harmful substances. He is legally obliged to respond within forty five days. The information ends up with you and in our database - where it is immediately visible to all consumers. The ToxFox is getting smarter and smarter - and with it its users. A simple question that has a double effect. Manufacturers understand: Products should be free from harmful substances! And contaminated products become slow-moving.
